Grafimec, founded about thirty years ago in Tribano, in the province of Padua, where the company is still based, specializes in the trade of graphic arts equipment. At the helm is the owner, Armando Castello, who has been in the sector for more than forty years; alongside him his son Andrea, who joined the company at a later time.
Grafimec’s main customers have always been printers, bookbinders, paper converters, box factories, screen printers, digital printing centers, but also Italian and foreign retailers.
Although the advent of digital has penalized many companies in the sector, Grafimec has been able to seize the opportunities, specializing mainly in the trade of post-printing equipment. Precisely for this reason, it can be said that one of the company’s strong points is certainly foresight, to which are added timeliness and customer service, values certainly derived from the many years of experience in the sector and from the professionalism and competence of the technicians who they work within the company.

Guillotines: the company’s core business

Grafimec boasts a wide assortment of machinery for printing and post-printing: among these, paper cutters represent the core of the commercial activity. A good part of the company’s warehouse and investment is in fact dedicated to guillotines, of different brands, models and formats: from the smallest sizes for the digital sector up to the largest for box factories, paper converters and bookbinders. Among the most requested and available brands in stock, Polar certainly prevails for its quality and reliability: however, there is no shortage of other manufacturers, such as Schneider and Wohlenberg.
From arrival in the company to delivery to the end customer, the paper cutter follows a very accurate process by specialized technicians, which consists in the complete overhaul of every mechanical and electronic part, in bringing the machinery up to standard according to current regulations and in testing , both before and after its installation at the client company.
Grafimec can therefore be defined as a real workshop, from which the paper cutters come out perfectly functional, like new ones.

In addition to paper cutters, Grafimec is also specialized in the overhaul and sale of other post-printing equipment, such as die-cutting machines, medium-small folders, collators, creasers, stitching machines and other finishing equipment, as well as spare parts and accessories.
Finally, a point of attention for the Heidelberg Cilindro, adapted for die-cutting and hot stamping, machines which are also completely dismantled, overhauled, repainted and brought up to standard. For these too, Grafimec has a wide range of spare parts.
